Deck Builder in Waxhaw, NC
Decks, pergolas, and patios for Union County's biggest backyards.
Waxhaw has grown from a historic railroad town into one of the fastest-growing corners of Union County, but the lots stayed generous — from the newer streets of Millbridge and Lawson to acreage properties out toward Providence Road. Big, flat backyards change the design conversation: instead of squeezing a deck onto a slope, we're usually planning a whole outdoor zone — a wide single-level deck, a pergola for shade, and a paver patio or fire pit tying it together.
A lot of Waxhaw homes are recent builds that came with little more than a stoop and a patch of sod out back. That's the gap we fill. Because these houses are newer, we match materials carefully — decking tones that work with the stone and board-and-batten exteriors builders favor here — so the addition looks original to the home, not tacked on.
Waxhaw sits in Union County, so permits and inspections run through a different office than our Charlotte projects — a routine we know well. And full sun is the rule on these young-tree lots, which is why pergolas make it into so many of our Waxhaw designs: shade in July without giving up the open sky the rest of the year.
