This commercial canopy project centered on a business client who wanted to create a weather-protected outdoor seating area without losing openness or sightlines. The challenge was the scale: A 32-foot-wide by 31-foot-deep patio, with a request for no center support columns or a full enclosure.
Open Air Construction installed a tensioned PVC/vinyl fabric commercial canopy supported by engineered aluminum framing. Stainless steel hardware and a polycarbonate hood were used for durability and weather protection. The structure is anchored only on the perimeter to maintain clear space underneath.
The end result is a fully usable outdoor dining area that protects from sun and rain without crowding the space with vertical supports. It preserves the natural view of the surrounding property while making the patio a functional part of the business year-round.
